CIFC and Community Partners Host Free Easter Extravaganza for Families in Glenarden

Glenarden, MD — April 12, 2025 — Families from across Prince George’s County gathered at the Glenarden Community Center on Saturday for a vibrant Easter Extravaganza, a free, family-friendly celebration presented by Collective Impacts Foundation Corporation (CIFC) in partnership with local organizations, civic groups, and community leaders.

The Easter Extravaganza featured the participation of Dr. Cashenna A. Cross, whose presence underscored the City of Glenarden’s commitment to inclusive, community-centered programming. Mayor Cross joined families and partners throughout the day, emphasizing the importance of shared experiences that uplift children and support families.

CIFC President Dr. Cross praised the collaboration that made the event possible, noting that the foundation’s mission is rooted in intentional partnerships that deliver meaningful impact. “Events like this reflect what happens when organizations, civic leaders, and community partners come together with purpose,” she said. “Our goal is to create spaces where families feel supported, celebrated, and connected.”

Community partners and supporters included local service organizations and sponsors who contributed resources, programming, and volunteers to ensure a memorable experience. Their collective efforts helped transform the afternoon into a safe, welcoming celebration that highlighted the spirit of Easter—renewal, unity, and hope.
