CIFC President, Dr. Cashenna A. Cross, H.C. inducted into the FIRST high school sorority

Mayor Dr. Cashenna A. Cross, H.C., is still in awe of the remarkable young women of Charles Herbert Flowers High School, a premier science and technology magnet school located in Springdale, Prince George’s County. Twelve driven and accomplished students at the school have made history by founding THOZ Diamonds, the first-ever high school sorority of its kind.
Guided by Vice Principal Keisha Thorpe and Leadership Coach Noah Kallish, the students established the sorority as a platform to cultivate Adding to the milestone achievement, the sorority’s first-ever president, Gabriella, is a ninth-grade student—underscoring the depth of leadership and vision already present among the founding members.
Mayor Dr. Cross closed by congratulating the founding members of the Tau Eta Phi Zeta Diamond Chapter, applauding their courage, innovation, and commitment to uplifting their peers and communities.
“Your courage and vision are an inspiration,” she said. “Let’s continue the good work as we fight for humanity.”
The establishment of THOZ Diamonds marks a powerful new chapter in student leadership at Charles Herbert Flowers High School and sets a precedent for youth-driven excellence across Prince George’s County., academic excellence, leadership, and service among young women.
